Photography Style
How We Capture Your Day
Our photo team is friendly and easy going. We try to capture your day in a fun and relaxing way that captures the joy and excitement of your wedding day with a blend of styles.
We use a wide selection of professional lens to keep your photos looking fresh and unique. Our photographers know when to stand back and let a moment unfold, but we also know that not everyone feels like a supermodel in front of a camera so we know how and when to give gentle guidance if needed. Our goal is to make you look your best while feeling your best.
We Listen To What You Want
It's your wedding day so have it your way! We didn't just steal that line from a fast food ad, we really mean it. It's very important to us that when you look back on your wedding day that all aspects of it worked out just how you envisioned it.
If you have a prop, a creative idea or a spread sheet of amazing must have photos on Pinterest let us know. We have a ton of creative ideas but we like hearing about your ideas too! Have a unique or special location you would like to suggest or do you have an idea of what you are looking for but not sure where to find it? Just let us know! We have extensive knowledge of the islands and would be happy to help any way we can.
EDITING STYLES AND GALLERIES
We have been in the wedding business for many years and like all creative fields, styles change and so do tastes. Much like those pink pants that you thought were awesome or that stylish hairdo that was RAD! Yes, I said rad. Styles in the wedding industry change as well.
With that said, we wanted to build our photo packages in a way that incorporated the natural beauty of Hawaii, the simplicity of the moment, and the timelessness of your love. Our galleries consist of these different styles: Vibrant Color, Classic Black & White, and Vintage Film. Why bother choosing one style, let's just do it all! Thus we deliver all 3 styles in one package. We like to think of it as a buffet of delicious photo goodness. An approach that's sure to please all tastes!
"ONE WEDDING, THREE DIFFERENT EDITING STYLES."
Each of our weddings are edited in 3 different styles Vibrant Color, Classic Black & White, and Vintage Film.
That way you can have your cake and eat it too!

VIBRANT COLOR
Surrounded by so much natural beauty and spectrum of vibrant hues throughout the islands, we find it impossible not to incorporate it in our images. The blue topaz water, lush green mountains, and golden sunsets are what makes our islands so special. Vibrant color allows you to remember your day with as little filter as possible. Our fresh, clean color images captures the Hawaii as you see it, true to life in every way.
CLASSIC BLACK & WHITE
Classic and bold black & white images capture what color can't: timelessness. Dark like coffee and smooth like cream, our classic black & white gallery includes a combination of two B&W styles mixed together. Our light and bright high key style and a more a softer more subtle low key style makes for a perfect blend.
VINTAGE FILM
Keeping up with the trends, our vintage film won't disappoint. The characteristic rose and mint color tones, muted highlights, and soft film grain brings you back to a time when things felt simpler and analog was king. Our film edits will send you back to a different era, capturing the nostalgia in a way only film can.

Beach Ceremony Locations
The Perfect Location For the Perfect Wedding
Hawaii and all of its islands have a lot to offer. With so many choices it can sometimes be overwhelming if you are not familiar with the locations. At Salt & Sandalwood we try to take the guesswork out of finding a wedding location. We went ahead and selected some of our favorite beach locations and went ahead and gave some key points about each one.

Oahu Beach Ceremony Locations
Oahu is filled with beautiful beaches from big wave surf of the North Shore to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and everywhere in between. We chose some of the best beaches for weddings and gave our insight on what makes them so great.
Waialae Beach Park - south shore
One of the best beaches for a small intimate beach wedding; only minutes away from Waikiki. Low hanging palm trees and small grassy knolls line the edge of this beach. With normally calm weather this beach is a good choice if you are planning to stay close to Waikiki.
makapuu beach park- east side
On the southeastern point of Oahu nestled between steep cliffs is the large sandy beach of Makapuu. Offering a wide array of unique natural features including tide pools, swaying palm trees, large waves, sandy beach, rocky coast line, and a cliffside lighthouse in the distance all surrounded by a mountainous back drop. Sunrises are spectacular here.
Sherwood Beach- East Side
One of Oahu's largest beach on the East Side. It offers large expanses of sandy white beach surrounded by a shady ironwood forest and a panoramic view of the ocean.
Ke Iki Beach - North Shore
On the historic North Shore coast this large secluded beach extends farther than the eyes can see. With large rolling surf during the winter months and smooth as glass water during the summer months this beach is a hidden gem. Tall coconut palms and green foliage line the edges of the beach while a rocky peninsula juts out into the turquoise water. A lovely location for both picturesque sunsets and early morning ceremonies.
Yokohama Bay (Keawa'ula Beach) - West Side
A large remote beach on the end of the road on Oahu's north west side. Defined by large stretches of sandy beach accompanied by rocky coast line. This sparsely populated beach is about as secluded as it gets. It may take a little extra time to get here but it won't let you down with its golden sunsets and rolling surf.
